Description
The Champion 3-star – ITTF is the new competition ball created by Schildkröt and the only and legitimate successor of the most famous table tennis ball of all time, the “Schildkröt 3 Super Star”. A tournament ball with the approval of the ITTF (International Table Tennis Federation ITTF), can be played in all official tournaments. Precise roundness, great rebound, durable and resistant! This new 3-star Champion ball from Schildkröt is now celluloid free. Since July 2014, the classic celluloid balls were gradually replaced by the new plastic/polyethylene balls in tournaments. Today’s plastic balls have game characteristics absolutely comparable to the old ones, with identical quality and durability. However, they are much more environmentally friendly in their manufacture, so the transition was initiated by the ITTF. The plastic balls can be recognized by the + behind 40 (40 means the diameter.) 40+ is, therefore, always and uniformly for all manufacturers, a plastic/polyethylene ball.
